How it is madeThere are many processes that are employed to create porcelain pieces. There are free formed artistically created pieces that are formed by sculpting, thrown on a pottery wheel and other more creative processes. A large majority of porcelain pieces are mass produced by creating an original master piece and then creating a mold to mass produce the piece. Please keep in mind, the term "mass produced" is used in this context to indicate more than 1 piece is produced from an original piece.
